The Hitachi Excavator
The Hitachi Excavator is owned and operated by Armac Demolition of Birmingham and is used on various demolition contracts throughout the UK. It is fitted with a hammer, shear and quick hitch circuits and works in a harsh demanding environment ( visit www.armacdel.co.uk ) to see details of the company and pictures of recent contracts they have undertaken. With continually changing attachments the hydraulic system became contaminated and the oil analysis reports showed high ISO particle count readings. A Kleenoil 9778H hydraulic unit was recently fitted. Installation took one and a half hours. The oil feed to the unit was taken from the quick hitch line by adding a T adaptor and is returned direct to tank via a spare tank port.A ball valve is fitted to the feed line to ensure no leakage of oil during filter changes.
