Blasting Services Limited (BSL) began in October 2000 with Exchem Explosives, acquisition of a leading family contractor and merging the assets with the blasting expertise of the parent company to create a separate services division. This division was expanded with further acquisitions culminating in BSL being created in January 2002.BSL has established itself as a market leading company with a turnover in excess of £5million employing over 40 competent personnel throughout the UK. They are able to call on the resources of the EPC Group throughout its network of European partners in drilling, blasting and explosive supply.
FA-ST have installed the 9778 and 9778H by-pass filtration units to hydraulics and engines to assist BSL in lowering their maintenance and service costs and to reduce mechanical and component failures. These units use the same filter cartridges making it easier for cartridge changing and stock inventory.
BSL machines operate in some of the harshest environments within the mining and quarrying industries and are subject to very dirty and dusty conditions. The Kleenoil by-pass filtration ensures that any dirt or water ingress is removed before any damage can occur. BSL quote ‘Safety is paramount with our fleet. They are checked regularly and all records for maintenance on any one machine are available on request. Our Plant Maintenance Supervisor takes pride in maintaining a safe up to date fleet of rigs’
